TRAINING DAYS:

Saturday 12th April: NDASTraining Day:
Tracing the History of a House, Settlement or Parish using Record Office Resources, in the Henry Williamson Room, Barnstaple Library. This training day has been cancelled due to building work at the Record Office being completed. It should be rescheduled for the autumn.

May 2007: Pottery Drawing Day (a practical, intensive day learning to draw pottery sherds to publication standard) led by Chris Preece and Alison Mills at Barnstaple museum

February 2006: Workshop "How to go about a historical /archaeological research project" led by XArch of University of Exeter, Tim Wormleighton, North Devon Record Office, Terry Green of NDAS

April 2005: Lithics Recognition Day led by Ann and Martin Plummer and John Newberry: a day learning how to recognise flints/stone tools, at Barnstaple Museum

February 2004: Pottery Recognition Day with John Allen and Oliver Kent at Barnstaple Museum

There are numerous days led by XArch (University of Exeter), and also Rob Wilson North (Exmoor Park), on earthwork surveys/magnetometry surveys , on various sites being researched by NDAS (i.e. Six Acre and Hartland), Details of which are within the members newsletter and/or circulated by Email (Contact our secretary)
