Exhibition at Hartland 12th September 2007.

The opportunity has arisen to have an exhibition of the work of the XArch project in support of the Heritage Lottery Funding and the community involvement aspects of the project. Hartland has been selected as the venue and the event will take place in the Methodist Hall (directions below); for those of you who attended the CBA-AGM or the previous Hartland Digital Archive events then you will recognise it as the same venue.

The day will be in three parts:

1) Events aimed at primary school pupils as an introduction to archaeology with interactive activities.
2) Events aimed at secondary school pupils which will introduce them to aspects of field work.
3) Exhibition of the work of XArch and the local groups it supports, including an 'Antiques Roadshow'.

It is envisaged that a number of community groups will display their research and findings along with a variety of displays by associated parties. Invites have been sent out in this respect and responses are awaited. Exeter University will be mounting a display of the work at Stokenham along with their finds.

The Exhibition runs from 4 - 8pm but members are invited to attend at all stages of the day from 10am.

I am sure any offers of help will be appreciated please contact Penny Cunningham or Steve Hobbs.
